Working in restaurants is a tricky thing. You never know when you’re going to have a slow day or a busy day.
When that restaurant is in a hotel/resort it makes it even more trickier. But in hotels you have your busy season and your slow season.
Currently I’m in our busy season, getting A LOT of hours and OT. Which is good because the money is great in my account and I know in a short while the hours will diminish. It just surprises me how many of my coworkers are not willing to work right now. Fuck them they’ll be crying in the summer when they can’t afford their bills with no work being offered, while I’m in Europe with my nestegg I saved up for such times.

At work I get daily emails telling if there were any complaints or issues from guest around the hotel.

Usually it’s plumbing/electric problems or noise complaints. Today I got an email about a guy calling front desk mad because the laundry department sent back his pants without a crease in them…….

Not that they lost his pants, destroyed them, couldn’t get a stain out…..but because there was NO CREASE!!

Really??

Is this all rich people have to complain about, the lack of creased pants? During his phone call he could’ve ironed his pants himself, I’m 100% sure the room comes with an iron in it. Smh
