Working in restaurants is a tricky thing. You never know when you’re going to have a slow day or a busy day.
When that restaurant is in a hotel/resort it makes it even more trickier. But in hotels you have your busy season and your slow season.
Currently I’m in our busy season, getting A LOT of hours and OT. Which is good because the money is great in my account and I know in a short while the hours will diminish. It just surprises me how many of my coworkers are not willing to work right now. Fuck them they’ll be crying in the summer when they can’t afford their bills with no work being offered, while I’m in Europe with my nestegg I saved up for such times.
